PRODUCT QUALITIES

BOND STRENGTH
The ribs of GYAN TMT have been specially designed for excellent bond strength between bars and concrete. The roll slashes the rib pattern automatically during rolling process and hence uniform and perfect pattern of rib. GYAN TMT Bond Strength is 100-200 % higher than that of traditional steel bar, whereas the specifications stipulate that bond strength should be 40 % higher than mild steel plain bars.

BENDING & REBENDING
The GYAN TMT bars produced with latest technology for GERMAN are technologically designed so that the outer surface is tough and core is ductile. This results in excellent bending capabilities. The GYAN TMT rebars can be bent around mandrels much smaller and easier than those specified in IS:1786:2008. This has obvious advantage at construction sites.

WELDING STRENGTH
Welding strength of GYAN TMT is considerably superior to those conventional cold twisted bars due to low carbon equivalents. GYAN TMT bars can be butt-welded or lap welded using ordinary rutile coated electrodes of matching strength. Usually, no pre-warming or post heat treatment is necessary.

CORROSION RESISTANCE
GYAN TMT bars are produced by Turbo Quench Technology and not by sold twisting, hence results in uniform and thick tempered martensitic rim, completely free from internal stress. This results in superior corrosion resistance characteristics as compared to traditional cold twisted bars. The presence of oxide layer on the surface further increase the corrosion resistance, when compared to traditional cold twisted bars.

SAFE IN EARTHQUAKE
Tests were conducted on concrete beam column joints, reinforced with GYAN TMT were subject to repeated revered load with inelastic strains. These simulation tests were conducted to evaluate their performance during earthquake. The results showed uniformity maintained ductility till failure due to uniform energy dissipation during each cycle.

FIRE RESISTANCE
GYAN TMT bars were tested to prove the higher thermal stability in comparison to traditional cold twisted bars and have no loss of strength up to 600⁰C.
